Before the salmon run starts coastal brown bears head to the sea at low tide to feed. The prize they seek are the abundance of clams buried under the sand. The bears superior sense of smell helps them easily locate these tasty morsels. They use their claws as precision tools to peel open the shell.

thanks man... yeah it was extremely foggy. we actually had a lot of trouble finding the bears this day because visibility was so poor

no prob...i think the fog kinda gives it a more "mystical" and powerful feel. but it must have been amazing to just see a bear walk out from the fog

I totally agree with :icon iamidaho: on the exif info. Would love to learn from your settings. This is an awesome shot. The bear looks so natural and the reflection is perfect.
