Artist's Comments

I'd been hoping to do a lot of shooting this week, but the weather has been less than ideal... It snowed some yesterday and then a little this morning. The sun did come out for a bit in the late evening so I went to check out the den. Not much action there tonight just this pup playing around in the grass. Its amazing how fast they grow!

Nice capture. It has a sweet face and the look of an adolescent. I like the play of light and shadow on the kit.

wonderful, as always. How far away is the den from your house? You've got these animals wrapped around your finger man! Fantastic! You should really contact a publisher about getting a fox calendar done!

Extinction is more than the end of something with a long run in the past. Extinction is murdering everything that would have evolved from that species in the future.

ha i know its too easy with them, theyre about a quarter mile from my house. So i usually just stop there in the evening and see if theyre out. Theres a pure black fox that ive been trying to shoot these last couple weeks. Its hard because ive only seen it at night while driving, but i see it in the same area every time so i know it must have a den nearby. Its really interesting to see one thats all black
